● Develop and execute comprehensive quality assurance strategies and policies that align with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.
● Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations, including FDA and local health standards.
● Oversee the setting of quality standards and inspections for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
● Lead and build a high-performing team of quality assurance and control professionals, fostering collaboration while maintaining uncompromising standards.
● Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
● Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
● Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers, implementing improvement programs as necessary and maintaining required documentation.
● Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify trends and implement corrective measures.
● Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities, preparing reports for senior management and the workforce.
Working Conditions:
● Occasional travel to suppliers and other manufacturing sites may be required.
● Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including time in various temperature settings, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
● Due to the nature of this role, on-site presence is required.
● A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● At least 6 years of experience in quality assurance, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.
● Hands-on experience implementing and training teams on quality systems.
● In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices. ● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
● Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
● Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
● Relevant certifications such as HACCP, SQF, or BRC (highly desirable).
● Strong social skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner.
